Friends of Jessenland Mission/Vision
Mission Statement - Collect, preserve, interpret, share, and celebrate the history and culture of the Jessenland area and the Minnesota River Valley.
Community Outreach – Programs for the community. Christmas concerts, choir concerts. Food drive. Clothing drives. Community dinners.
History Center – Information about the history of the building and surrounding area featured. Photos, images, and artifacts on display. Information on early settlers of the area. Markers with historical information placed in the building and the grounds. Feature three nationalities of the Jessenland area: French, German, Irish.
Irish Cultural Center – Space created for genealogy research and information. Place for Irish culture, music, food, and art. Concert series and events and classes.
Hibernian Cooperation – Local AOH Shamrock Division plays active role in the activities of building and grounds. Consider use of the hall as the Hibernian Hall that would be “home base” of the local Hibernian group.
